Canine colleagues receive their own policy, calendar and official place in corporate life
ROCKVILLE, Md. – July 20, 2026 – ExeGi Pharma LLC, a leader in digestive health solutions and the manufacturer of the high-potency Visbiome Vet probiotic, today announced what company leaders consider a major corporate milestone: the organization has officially grown to the point where its canine colleagues now have their own workplace policy and calendar.
ExeGi has progressed from welcoming the occasional office dog to making employees’ four-legged family members an official part of company culture. Nothing says organizational maturity quite like canine governance.
“For years, dogs have contributed to the ExeGi workplace through morale support, meeting attendance and close supervision of employee lunches,” said Yamil Hernandez, Chief Business Officer at ExeGi Pharma. “It was time their role received the structure and institutional recognition it deserved.”
The milestone is particularly fitting for the company behind Visbiome Vet, a portfolio of high-potency probiotic products designed to support digestive health in dogs and cats.
“As a company committed to improving the health of companion animals through Visbiome Vet, we have always taken dogs seriously,” Hernandez added. “Now, apparently, we also take their calendar management seriously.”
“On behalf of ExeGi’s canine workforce, I welcome this long-overdue recognition,” said Albus “Albie” Doberdor, a longstanding office dog and vocal advocate for increased canine participation in corporate life. “We have been showing up, attending meetings and supporting workplace morale for years. Albus’s colleague Dougie, Canine Executive Officer, stated, “Before I put my official paw print on this policy, Albie and I discussed the changes that need to take place in the office as we undertake this transformation. The conversation around the water bowl quickly shifted to the need for better access to the dog park, snack availability and putting stickers on the glass to avoid workplace injuries to wet noses.”
Dougie also assured his canine companions, “We will be working to rename the HR department to HR/CR in order to be more inclusive to our canine colleagues and will address access to the kitchen table and snack dishes as a top priority.”
The new framework marks an important stage in ExeGi’s continued growth. As organizations mature, they introduce new systems, policies, and governance structures. ExeGi has now reached the level at which some of those structures involve leashes, water bowls and canine calendar invitations.
